 The Great Christmas Light Show is a park-wide lighted celebration that is sure to capture the true spirit of the season! The drive through light show will feature over 2 million lights festively displayed along a 1.5 mile drive throughout the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Over 500 magical light displays, some up to 55 feet tall, have been custom made for The Great Christmas Light Show. Visitors will experience 20 enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights will come to life.  NEW this year, a section of lights come alive to synchronized music. After the journey through the light show, we invite everyone to park their car and visit Santa’s Village where they can enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores, get an up close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride, stroll through the lighted walking trail, experience the Go Ape lighted tree top adventure, go tubing down Santa’s new 40″ inflatable slide and, of course, meet Santa!

The Great Christmas Light Show – Drive Through Experience will be open November 24 – December 31 (Closed on Christmas Day December 25)
Gates open 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Santa’s Village will be open Friday and Saturday only from November 24 – December 9. Opens nightly December 15 – 31 (Closed on Christmas Day December 25)

1-15 guests: $15 per vehicle

16-30 guests: $30 per vehicle

31+ guests: $60 per vehicle (call 843-280-5570 to schedule buses)

 

Santa’s Village

Park you car and walk over to Santa’s Village where you’ll find…

  • Visits with Santa – FREE!  Don’t forget your camera!
  • Petting Zoo
  • Ice Skating – Oh what fun! A festive activity for all. A synthetic rink that with real ice skates. $5 for 30 minutes (includes skates.)
  • Village Treats – Hot Chocolate and s’mores!
  • Santa Express Train Ride – Hop aboard and get an up close look at the lights! Tickets are $2 per person. Children 2 & under may ride for free if sitting in the lap of an adult.
  • Go Ape Lighted Adventure – A 10-15 minute mini treetop experience with a zip line overlooking Santa’s Village. $10 for 1 loop and zip line or $15 for 2 loops and 2 zip lines.

Dashing Through The Glow 5K / 1Mile

Be one of the first people to see the lights during this one mile walk/run and 5K through portions of the Great Christmas Light Show. Each registration includes a t-shirt, medal, official bib, snacks and glow necklace. Registrations also include entry into a raffle for additional prizes.

Don’t forget to wear your best Holiday themed outfit. Prizes will be given for best dressed individual and best dressed family.

Once you are finished with the race, all participants and their families are invited to continue the Holiday celebration in Santa’s Village. Visit with Santa, drink hot chocolate, ride on the magical Santa Express train, ice skate on the artificial ice rink or be one of the first to slide down the NEW 40′ toboggan slide (additional charges apply for activities in the Christmas Village).

All participants and spectators must be in the Park by 6:45pm on the night of the race. Due to roads closing for the race, no entry will be allowed into the Park after 6:45pm.

Start time: 7:00 pm for 5K and 1 Mile.

Open to all ages.

Location: NMB Park & Sports Complex

Packet Pickup: Thursday and Friday, November 16th & 17th from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at NMB Park & Sports Complex. At the starting line day of race, 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm.

Parking: Once you enter the park follow the RACE PARKING signs. You must be in the park by 6:45 pm. The roads into and out of the park will close at that time to allow the race to use the roads.

Start / Finish: The start, finish and entire race will be inside the Park & Sports Complex.
