Operation Chief Dustin Overholser is originally from Columbus, Ohio and moved to the area in 2003 after completing the Ohio Fire Academy through Hocking College. He has been with the city since 2005.
Education & Career
He has a bachelor’s degree in public administration and a master’s degree in public health. Operation Chief Overholser has been an Emergency Medical Technician since 2002, was promoted to Lieutenant. In 2008 and promoted to Battalion Chief in 2013.
Operation Chief Overholser manages fleet maintenance and station repairs for the fire rescue division and is a member of the uniform committee. In 2015, he attended the TEEX Enhanced All-Hazards Incident Management in College Station, Texas furthering his abilities to manage expanding and/or complex incidents. Operation Chief Overholser enjoys teaching and now that he has finished college, plans to increase his ability to teach his department in professional development and leadership.
Personal Life
Operation Chief Overholser is a die hard Buckeye and enjoys watching games with his dad and brother whenever they can get together at the same time.
