Lieutenant Carrie Rose began her police career with North Myrtle Beach Police Department in 2002. In her twenty plus years of experience, she has worked in various divisions and ranks in the Police Department. She has previously held the ranks of detective, field training officer, and sergeant. In the supervisor capacity, she has overseen daily patrol operations, jail/dispatch operations, and currently supervises the support services divisions of the Police Department which include the Training Division, Records Division, Information Technology Division, and the Quartermaster’s Office. She also oversees Police recruitment and hiring.
Lieutenant Rose grew up in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Haven and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement Science. During her studies she completed an internship with the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section as well as an internship rotation at the Connecticut State Police Crime Lab. Lieutenant Rose has also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. In addition to her degree work, Lieutenant Rose obtained advanced law enforcement training in various disciplines and topics throughout her career.
Lieutenant Rose’s pride and joy is her family. She is married to Ryan Rose who also serves the citizens of North Myrtle Beach with the Fire Department. They have two little boys that keep them busy outside of work.
