The Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals was established to hear appeals of decisions and interpretations made by the Building Official and to consider variances to the adopted technical building codes. Creation of the Board is authorized under Section 113 of the South Carolina Building Code and under the City’s Code of Ordinances. Appointed by City Council, Board Members have knowledge and experience in the adopted technical building codes working as design professionals, contractors, or building industry representatives.
