POSSIBLE WINTRY WEATHER JANUARY 28-29
According to the National Weather Service/Wilmington, an area of low pressure developing as it moves by the coast on Friday, January 28, will result in some rain, then a possible change-over to snow Friday night with precipitation exiting the area Saturday. Less than an inch of snow is currently forecast.
Most travel impacts will be associated with bridges, overpasses, and other elevated road surfaces. More significant impacts are expected farther north of our part of the Carolinas.
Cold temperatures could lead to some black ice conditions on roadways Saturday night into Sunday morning.
