The Parks and Recreation Department is bringing more art to North Myrtle Beach through Artists Everywhere. Artists Everywhere is a monthly art exhibit at NMB City Hall showcasing local artists and providing beautiful public art displays for our residents and visitors. Artists Everywhere features many different style artists varying from painters to sculptors, potters, and much more.
We are looking for artists of all ages to display their talent! If you are a local artist interested in displaying your artwork, sculptures, pottery, or more in the Artists Everywhere exhibit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
My name is Anna Bowers and creating and sharing art has grown from a hobby to a full-time business. I’m a seven year transplant hailing from Maryland. My grandmother was an artist and I used to be enthralled watching her paint. She passed away several years ago and it left a hole in my heart. My pursuit of art initially began with painting rocks for the kindness rocks movement then evolved into working with decoupage and, eventually resin.
When Covid hit, I dove into my studio and experimented with a variety of new techniques. One thing I was determined to do was to use materials that would otherwise be discarded as often as possible and to ensure that the shells used in my art were ethically and responsibly sourced. Many of these shells are collected along the beautiful shores of our coastline.
Two years ago, I decided to share my love of resin art by offering classes to those that were intimidated by this medium. I love teaching others the techniques needed to create beautiful pieces of ocean art and to hear their happiness when they create their first masterpiece. I am still humbled when people compliment my work.
I have three amazing grown children including a son who is a senior at Clemson (GO TIGERS!). I also have two adorable grandchildren. I live in Little River with my husband and our menagerie of rescued pets. I work full time in Cherry Grove Beach for the Boulineau’s as Director of Communications and Public Relations. I love our beautiful city!
